Ecowarm is a lightweight, quick responding, low thermal mass system best known for its ideal mixture of performance and cost making it the best value in the industry.
Ecowarm is a modular radiant board system comprised of grooved plywood boards laminated with aluminum designed to be used in new construction and remodeling over a sub-floor or when properly installed, over cement. The two board types in the Ecowarm system have 2 patterns; straight and combo that are laid out and installed in a pattern and attached by means of construction adhesive combined with screws or cross stapling as recommended in the Installation Manual. The pattern creates the pathway into which 1/2″ ASTM F 876-877 PEX tubing is placed. When warm water is pumped through the tubing, it then rapidly provides luxurious, silent, even heat. It can be used under almost any floor covering.. Typically the board is applied over the 80% to 90% of a project that is not under stairs or cabinets. Please download our 40 page Installation Manual which contains installation instructions and numerous floor assembly details.
ECOWARM is manufactured under US Patent 6,533,185 and patents are pending.
The thin thermal mass and conductive aluminum laminate provide fast recovery allowing the heat to be dispersed quickly. The responsiveness of Ecowarm permits the use of setback thermostats saving fuel and adding comfort. Conventional 1 ½” Gypcrete or concrete take four times as long to respond.
The Ecowarm highly conductive aluminum laminate delivers heat with little resistance permitting the use of lower water temperatures resulting in lower energy bills.
Radiant systems using a gypsum pour or concrete thermal mass weight 12-14 lbs/ sq/ft over a subfloor. Ecowarm weights 2 lbs./sq/ft eliminating the need for upgraded joist systems.
Ecowarm is only ¾” thick making it ideal for remodels and allowing a nailing space for sheetrock on the floor plate.
Ecowarm and radiant tubing can be installed quickly within the flow of a construction project without the mess and construction delays associated with gypsum pours or concrete.
A Green Product
FSC® certification means that Ecowarm is made of sustainably harvested FSC certified top quality Plywood and our manufacturing facility is FSC certified and audited as a manufacturer. The aluminum contains recycled material and is bonded with low VOC glue.
About The Company
Our company has been manufacturing non structural radiant board systems under our US Patent # 6,533,185 for many years and since 2007 in our factory in an industrial park in Tualatin Oregon. Ecowarm FSC is designed to be a premium high performance radiant floor heating board that in addition to great performance is a very green product.
About The Management
Hoyt Corbett runs the company from an office located in the low overhead hills south of Oregon City Oregon. He may be reached Toll free at 866-341-1854, on his cell phone at 206-369-1458 or at email@example.com. Hoyt has been involved with Hydronic Heating since the early 1990’s and developed and sold a national brand of radiant floor heating that was acquired by Uponor. Subsequently Hoyt was Associate Director of the Radiant Panel Association, the industry trade group. Hoyt has done extensive technical writing on radiant floor heating writing several major national hydronic vendors radiant heating design and installation manuals as well as founding and publishing “The Radiant Flooring Guide” which was subsequently acquired by Business News Publishing. Hoyt is an active entrepreneur as a product developer and has patents in hydronic heating products and interests in alternative energy. Hoyt has developed all the proprietary tooling used to make Ecowarm and is committed to making Ecowarm a green product.
