Ecowarm is Ideal for Remodels or New Construction
Our boards are only ¾” thick, making them ideal for radiant floor remodels, or retrofits where floor heights can be a limiting factor — particularly at doors and stairs.
Ecowarm Radiant Board Hits the Performance and Cost Sweetspot
Aluminum is a very valuable component of our design as it is 1500 times more conductive than wood. Using too little results in an under-performing system, but using too thick of an aluminum layer increases cost without commensurate value. Ecowarm is constructed with an aluminum layer on top that is pressed into a plex-hose, self-locking channel. Our patented design makes Ecowarm ideal for the majority of radiant heating projects.
Most modern houses have heat losses between 13-20 BTU.SQ FT/Hour and operate much of the year below their maximum heat loss. The thickness of the aluminum on Ecowarm RadiantBoard is chosen to be very effective in this range requiring low water temperatures and is capable of generously exceeding this up to 42 BTU SQ FT/Hour with modest elevations of water temperatures. This means you will have a high-performing system with much lower utility costs.
