All RadiantBoard aluminum laminated panels are designed to be applied over a subfloor, concrete, or walls and ceilings. The grooved surface creates the pathway into which 1/2″ PEX tubing is placed. When warm water is circulated through the PEX tubing, the heat is transferred to the efficient, fast-responding RadiantBoard, the flooring materials, and then radiated into the heated space providing luxurious heat. It can be used under almost any finished floor covering.
Multiple R-Value Thicknesses Available
Insulated Radiant Floor Heating
We’ve been manufacturing our patented radiant heating panels since 2000. Now you can get the same great quality of Ecowarm RadiantBoard with the added benefits of EPS foam insulation.
Our high performing panels deliver heat faster and more efficiently than most other radiant subfloor delivery systems (underfloor, concrete, gypsum pour, etc.) resulting in lower operating costs and greater comfort. We offer the best balance of high-performance, cost, and environmental responsibility in the radiant floor panel heating market.

I have installed many Ecowarm RadiantBoard projects over the years. They are easier to install than other boards; much less breakage, easier and safer to handle, and easier on saw blades.
– Vaughn Peiffer | Lockwood Mechanical
Versatile two-panel system and “paint by number” design & layout guide make for fast, intuitive installation.
Each project receives a board layout for accuracy and ease of installation. We offer both a CAD panel layout service and a complete system design service. You’ll have your project completed in less time while saving a fortune in labor costs.
“You guys have been outstanding. Superb customer service and knowledge for my “hundreds of questions”. Especially these days, I love it when the owner of the company gets on the phone to explain details about their product – thanks Hoyt!”

*Note: The above video is an infrared timelapse of Ecowarm RADIANTBOARD without the final flooring goods installed. You will see the heat spread evenly across the surface of the floor once the flooring substrate is installed.
Our boards are only ¾” thick, making them ideal for radiant floor remodels, or retrofits where floor heights can be a limiting factor — particularly at doors and stairs.
Aluminum is a very valuable component of our design as it is 1500 times more conductive than wood. Using too thin aluminum without closer tubing spacing results in an under-performing system, but too thick of an aluminum layer increases cost without commensurate value. The panels are constructed with an aluminum layer on top that is pressed into an overbite, self-locking channel. Our patented design makes Ecowarm RADIANTBOARD ideal for raised floor applications.
Most modern houses have heat losses between 13-20 BTU.SQ FT/Hour and operate much of the year below their maximum heat loss. The thickness of the aluminum on our panels is chosen to be very effective in this range, requiring low water temperatures and is capable of generously exceeding up to 42 BTU SQ FT/Hour with modest elevations of water temperatures.
This means you will have a high-performing system with much lower utility costs.

The product you guys make is incredible. I absolutely loved the install process. What you provide is literally a “paint by number”. This is a level of efficiency that is unparalled. Not having hot and cold spots when you’re stepping on and off the tubes underneath the floor, having the conductivity spread out across the aluminum, small boards that are easy to carry on a construction site, the ability to cut the boards with a table saw, and having everything pre-drilled — it’s just incredible. Everything ran without a hitch. If you’re in the market for radiant heat, I highly recommend looking into Ecowarm RadiantBoard. Maybe the best part is that they are super nice to work with!

Learn why so many contractors and home builders choose Ecowarm for their radiant floor heating. Feel free to call us any time with any questions!
What makes Ecowarm RADIANTBOARD such a good value?
Ecowarm RADIANTBOARD is sold factory-direct to you, the contractor, cutting out the unnecessary layers of distribution costs. The aluminum layer is sized for excellent thermodynamic performance in modern homes and cost-effectiveness. We use high-quality materials while simultaneously providing an exceptionally green product.
Why is Ecowarm RADIANTBOARD so economically compelling?
The low mass of our system, the placement of the tubing close to finished floor goods and the tremendous conductivity of aluminum combine to allow us to produce the same heat output as most systems with lower supply water temperatures. Lower supply water temperatures means higher efficiency resulting in lower utility bills.
Why is the "undercut groove" design so important?
Undercut grooving allows the PEX tubing to lock tightly into the floor heating panels. Installation involves simply physically walking over the tubing to snap it into place. This snug fit creates a better heat transfer between the water flowing through the tubing and the aluminum sheeting on the panels, which results in greater heat efficiency and lower costs over the product lifetime.
Our patented, undercut groove design also eliminates the annoying “creaking” sounds produced by other products which are caused by the tubing gradually coming loose over time and rubbing against the subfloor when you walk over it.
Why is Rapid Acceleration so important?
The conductive aluminum layer means our radiant board heats up rapidly (up to 5 times faster than concrete or Gypsum) so you can get the heat when you want it.
Rapid response means Ecowarm RADIANTBOARD can be appropriately used with setback thermostats. Responsiveness is also valuable in climates where heating loads can vary dramatically, such as when there is both a heating and cooling load on the same day. Contrary to old-time radiant design thinking, a low thermal mass is much preferable to a high mass system.
When can panels be installed? Are there temperature restrictions?
The board size (nominal 2′ x 4′) is easy to handle and install, and can be easily cut with a table or skill saw. Panels can be stored indoors and conveniently applied in the flow of a project, avoiding delays.
The panels are glued and screwed or cross stapled to a wooden subfloor or glued/floated on a concrete slab, and can be installed early or late in a job. An additional benefit is that unlike gypsum or cement, which are subject to freezing in cold weather, Ecowarm can be installed in a wide range of temperatures.
How does we achieve quality and environmental responsibility?
Ecowarm RADIANTBOARD is made using high quality 6 or 7 ply American made plywood. Our panels utilize aluminum made in America with recycled content and No VOC water-based adhesives.
Many of our competitors use lower quality plywood of oriented strand board (OSB) or MDF in their products. In addition to its green qualities, high-grade plywood is the substrata preferred by many for nailing hardwood in quality homes.
